At the What Next? gathering of 650 members of the UK’s cultural sector, a very respected thinker and writer came up to me to say that he hoped that someone had documented what we have been doing in Scotland in the last 9 months. He thought it was a very significant process. He’s right. It has been powerful, and the programme of sessions that Kenneth Fowler put together and Pat Kane has facilitated in the last month have been a profound and intelligent process of reconciliation and community.
We will be hearing soon who will be the second Chief Executive Officer at Creative Scotland. No doubt the news of the appointment will create it own flurry of comment and hopefully excitement. I hope that this person and the board of Creative Scotland will be able to absorb, understand and take forward that sense of co-created ideas about the future of culture in Scotland. Thank you Kenneth and Pat for all you have done through this process.
